There is a lot to learn about healthy living and weight loss. Thankfully, there is a lot of help! Weight loss doesn't need to be a chore; it can actually be fun!

One of the most frequently asked questions is “Where do I get started?" This page was created to guide you through that process. Thank you for allowing us to join hands and guide you through these steps.

STEP 1

The first step in achieving weight loss involves our belief that it is possible. These kind words, the title to this article, were given to my by a dear friend and provided the epiphany that led to my success.

Listed below are some of the resources that have been created to aid in your success. Please take a few moments to familiarize yourself with them. Consider them to be the items you would pack in your suitcase when going on an exotic trip. These are the essentials that will make this the journey of a lifetime!

Trying new recipes is an awesome way to find healthier options of preparing the foods and flavors you enjoy. A recipe search bar was developed that allows you a quick and easy way to search more than a dozen websites This can be accessed by clicking on the recipes tab on the navigation bar. In addition, there are some links to recipes that were featured in our previous challenge.

Challenges

Periodic weight loss challenges are hosted to build friendships, share information and to provide brief intervals of concentrated effort to achieve realistic goals. Our challenges are highly motivational and are hosted on the blog and in conjunction with an Internet support community where the daily posts, encouragement, hugs, questions and answers are exchanged.

Great information, but one thing I would recommend would be to keep a food journal. So many people don't realize how many calories they are eating in a day without one. All the little things that pass our lips add up over the day. Just a suggestion. It's a little change a person can do that can make a real difference!
