June Rainbow Rose Challenge - Week 3 Exercise Of The Day!

WELCOME TO THE CHALLENGE!

Exercising can be fun and exciting and, once done, leaves you feeling exhilarated and proud of your accomplishment. It releases stress, which leaves you with a sense of well-being and feeling happy. Physically, you may be tired, yet energized!

Before starting any exercise program, you should contact your physician to confirm that you are medically capable of participating in an exercise program.

This week we are featuring a site known as howstuffworks. Please feel free to explore the site information. There is a wealth of knowledge to be gained.

EXERCISE OF THE DAY - WEEK 1

EXERCISE OF THE DAY - WEEK 2

Day 21 June 29th

Can hardly believe we’ve been at this for 21 days!!! During this time we’ve experienced many different types of exercise in hopes of broadening your choices and helping you realize exercise is not just sit-ups and walking on a treadmill.

There are so many ways to move your body and you can find an exercise that fits your mood or personality. Attitude is Everything!

Try approaching exercise as a time when you are being good to yourself, communing with yourself and exploring new possibilities. Challenge yourself to try new things, laugh at yourself the first time you try belly dancing ~ but be thrilled you have the pioneering spirit to explore. Make this a competition by issuing a challenge to yourself to exceed your efforts of the day before … just a little.

Today is a warm-up and exercise class of Tae Bo. Personally, I’ve never tried this one … and can hardly wait! Me, I’m not that coordinated … but the more I try this and the other exercises, know my body will learn. Until then, I just giggle when I kick and lose my balance and just get right back in there for some more.

Congratulations for a job well done!!! You know, in 21 days, habits are formed. Very best wishes for your continued success … and enjoy exercise and knowing what a privilege it is to have a healthy body that can move … there are those not as fortunate!

Many hugggssss … and heartfelt “THANKS” for your participation!

Well, it’s not belly dancing … but, in a way it is!! LOLLL Think I’m beginning to like some of these alternatives to conventional exercise! And, get a load of those Abs!!! Enjoy the beautiful scenery as you participate in this abdominal workout.

Next, here’s a cardio workout with Kili … how FUN!!!

Day 19 June 27th

This one is definitely a cardio workout with the added benefit of learning some dance choreography. Once I get these down … will share with my granddaughter who dances and I’m sure we’ll laugh as I get winded and she doesn’t … lollll Time and persistence … and I won’t get winded, but don’t think I’ll ever be able to do the splits that she does .. ha haa ha haa ha

Day 18 June 26th

Today’s exercise challenge is in honor of one of our new members and we thank her for her strength, her openness and her willingness to expand our boundaries of possibilities. So … get ready to try something NEW!!!

We are joining Veena and Neena in a four part work-out. No, you do not need to do all four today .. the links are being provided because this is a four part series and you may want to continue this on your own at a later date.

Have fun broadening your horizons … I’m actually looking forward to trying this!!!
